The Continental Carbon Company developed and licenses a carbon black manufacturing method to produce high quality carbon

products like industrial rubber, tire rubber, and specialty carbon black. This Houston, Texas-based company employs talented engineers

and scientists that helped them patent a unique reactor technology for the rubber goods industry.

The Challenge

Continental Carbon is mandated by law to keep accurate inventory of their machinery and materials, and before working with Unitech,

they kept records using pen-and-paper. This manual process was slow and prone to human error, so Continental Carbon came to

Unitech looking for a way to automate their inventory process.

The Solution

Continental Carbon was drawn to Unitech's unique keyboard-enhanced TB120 tablet and the slim, ergonomic PA700.

These devices run on Android, making them easy to develop software for.

The TB120 tablet was the only device Continental Carbon could find that would fit their needs: the integrated barcode scanner allowed

them to save money and offered more convenience than buying a companion scanner. The powerful scan engine is built directly on the

device, making it simple to scan efficiently.

The TB1020 and PA700 were both ideal because Continental Carbon found them rugged enough to withstand the rough conditions of their

manufacturing plants. They were happy to know that their investment wouldn't be plagued with recurring repair and replacement costs.
